A Georgia woman decided to surprise her boyfriend on an impromptu hunting trip and was accidentally shot in the leg after being mistaken for a deer.
Police in Lafayette Ga., arrested Matthew Tyler Webb, 23, after he alleged fired his gun Thursday night into a wooded area, striking his girlfriend Audrey Mayo, 24.
Mayo passed out at the scene and was transported to a local hospital where she is listed in critical but stable condition.
Capt. Johnny Johnson, a regional DNR supervisor, told the Press that if Mayo and Webb wore the appropriate orange colored clothing the accident probably would not have happened. - asiantown.net
